A client asks for their data

Make a client’s data sheet, or erase a client who asked, and what stays.

A client can ask what the store holds about them, or ask to be erased. The store answers, within the time the law of your place allows. In the office, open Settings, then Your data, then A client’s data, and find the client by name, email or phone.

Data sheet (PDF or CSV) lists their details, consents, sales by number and date, the sales from your previous system, online orders, quotes, used-gold purchases where they were the seller, repairs, agreements, credits, their conversations counted by channel and their household link, in their language. It never shows another client or an identity paper. It is ready to send. Owners and managers can make it.

Erase this client is the owner’s. You choose a reason from a short list (the client asked, the store decided, or another reason): never type the client’s name, because the reason stays in the history for good. It first lists what must be closed: an open layaway, special order, repair, quote, unspent credit or unfinished online order. Then it clears the name, contact details, dates, sizes, notes and consents, deletes their sign-ups and the contact details kept with their finished online checkouts, and erases their messages and conversations.

Some records stay, and the screen says why before you confirm: invoices (under an anonymous client number), the used-gold register, large-cash reports, repair intake signatures, the history of changes and the address each notice went to. A letter in French and English is offered afterwards.

This stays possible if Gemmetto has suspended the store, or after the account is closed: the owner can still make a data sheet and erase a client.
