Close the till
Count blind, compare with the card terminal’s batch, and close the day.
At the end of the day, count the drawer without seeing what it should hold. This is the blind count.
Then print the card terminal’s batch and enter its totals. The iPad shows any difference between the batch and what was recorded. See Check the day against the terminal.
Close the till. The count is kept for good; if one was wrong, a later count that names it corrects it.
