Cash rounding

Cash totals are rounded to 5 cents; card payments stay exact.

Canada no longer has a one-cent coin. When a sale is paid in cash, the cash part is rounded to the nearest 5 cents.

A card payment is never rounded: the card is charged the exact amount.

The iPad does the rounding by the store’s rules, and the receipt shows it, so the drawer and the receipt agree.
